  • The Yale Stewart/JL8 Thread

Looks like DC wised up and got Yale Stewart to do some Superman children's books (K-2), good move by them. They're available at Amazon and B&N.

Hopefully they give him more work.

I'll probably try to get one, but I'd really like them to pick up JL8.

I don't think it'll happen, I know Yale has mentioned in the past that he'd like to have an arrangement with DC but I think the whole creator owned/creative control aspect of it would be too big of a hurdle to cross.

But perhaps if these do well DC can set him up with a new all ages Superman title.

It kind of has an old school, Max Fleischer feel to it with the squinty eyes. I like it!

Well, it looks like Wonder Woman is at least in one of these. Though, yeah, it would be nice to see some about Wonder Woman (or the other heroes on those covers) without having to be a team-up. Maybe it will happen. I know they had some other Chapter Books based on a variety of heroes (including Wonder Woman) a while back.

Indeed. There's not enough all-ages stuff period, let alone something for the little girl who might (gasp) actually like to read something other than boys in capes.

Might just turn this into a general Yale Stewart/JL8 thread, anyways:

C'mon DC, give this man some work.

How about the mods change the title appropriately?
