Umm, you've seen Pumpkinhead? If not, that's a great Stan-Winston-designed monster.

By the way, (not really in your categories here), I'm sure I've mentioned it in the Horror thread before, but there's another Stephen-King based horror anthology called Cat's Eye.

A haunting-type movie I think is so-so, but a lot people missed in 2003 was Darkness Falls. It didn't end up great, but the concept was cool--that the Tooth Fairy is evil and you are at danger of it anytime you're in the dark.

Also, have you ever seen Candyman? It's a Clive (Hellraiser) Baker movie.

I've probably recommended most of my favorites. You've seen Wishmaster 1 and 2, right? And Phantasm (pretty sure we talked about those)? . I'm sure I've recommended Fallen to you before (one of my favorite demon movies). Night of the Demons is really fun 80s stuff. I liked Jennifer's Body, which is about a popular High School who gets possessed thanks to a Satanist garage band, but I didn't live that movie and some people hate it. Lawnmower Man, I'm guessing you've seen. You know what's so-bad-it's-almost-good is Shocker (about an executed man who comes back using electricity).

Pretty cool. That's the big, hard plastic version Toys R Us sold, right? I came close to getting that. It was massive.

Oh definitely the original. That's not even me being old school. I'd be surprised if anyone said #2 was better. It's this weird meta-movie that takes the original as a fictional movie but covering real events. It's weak.

The last two years, I've seen Legendary stuff but wasn't happy with any of it (like cups and stuff). But I liked this little guy. Might even get myself one some day.

At work today during lunch, I was walking an order to the other building, and in the common area they had Jaws on. It was the part when the Orca first sets out, and Quint was talking about using two barrels to bring up a shark and Brody starts chumming for the first time and then I had to get back to the main kitchen.

FYI: that poster was won in a raffle by a woman who was standing next to me and gave it away sight-unseen; all of which is to say that if you don't have the room or desire to hang it, it won't offend me. Actually, I thought it was pretty cool looking but realistically if I were to make room for a Godzilla poster, it would probably be the '54 version.

I feel like Klingons got enough play in movies 1-7.
I did like (not loved) Beyond. I really liked the warrior girl. My mother was upset that they blew up the Enterprise so early in the movie.

You mean the one where the new Toho Godzilla is clearly taller than Legendary Godzilla and likely to destroy him? Yep.

Don't know what that means, but have fun.

Rock-a-bye baby it's time to break habits that you face sweet sorrow of the cherished dead
Blow in my mouth every breath I take although I need you I don't wanna bleed for you

So long suicide going right out of sight out of mind leave me alone and abandoned

...was one phone call. I'm deeply engrossed in watching Dr. Who out in the living room when the phonr rang, and my first thought in my head was that it was Mom. The thought skyrocketed out of my head. Of course it wasn't Mom, it was my cousin/next door neighbor Pat. But for a minute there, I had truly forgotten that Mom has passed away.

I just felt like recording this somewhere.

Woke up, took a ride to go get some food and stopped by the graveyard to see if there had been ay progress on Mom's grave. They finally put the footing in for the stone, but no stone yet. Updated the family on the slow progress. Then I took a ride to the Toy Vault and picked up an Alan Scott figure because I thought Darth Andrea's collection was pretty cool, and I'm missing Scott's presence from my own. As Parallax called him, I like to think of him as "The Statesman". I think that's...

going as Hal Jordan GL tonight. Looking forward to it. Today was kind of nerve racking for some reason. I thought a lot about my mom, who paseed away a few months ago. Not sure how to "get over" it or if you ever do. I miss her so much.
