Khandaq Raid

Not sure how many on the boards has made it to the Khandaq Raid. Just want to get everyone's thoughts. My league and I made it to the final Black Adam fight and just didn't have what it took to take him out. Need to get geared more properly, but was able to do the rest of the raid.

Freakin' Shazam.

Has anyone else taken part in Khandaq, or down Black Adam yet?

Nearly finished Kahndaq but Adam screwed us over, his Zatanna mode is freaking epically hard. Need to do it again soon as it gives healer gear which I desperately need.

Nearly finished Kahndaq but Adam screwed us over, his Zatanna mode is freaking epically hard. Need to do it again soon as it gives healer gear which I desperately need.

Zatanna we figured out. Best to just hide behind pillars to keep from the lightning attacks, and pop out to range damage. Then spam roll away from the lightning and rinse/repeat. The toughest phase Brother Blood an all those demon adds, so hard to keep a team together.

BB section was easiest for us as we just layed into him, Giganta mode was also hard as he took ya health down by 3/4s and stunned you.

I've knocked out all the alerts, but am still only half way geared the way I want. I imagine it's gonna take another month to get my league ready to take it down. But I'm in no rush...yet.

Well the good thing is you can get through just about all the bosses, even if a lot of your party isn't geared out in T1 armor. This helps because all of what the Raid bosses drop are actually better than T1.

So, if you can get enough in your league to give it a shot it's still worth it. Here's a hint if you do it. When you have to plug the holes with rocks, stack jars in front of it. You'll thank me later.

What's the biggest problem that you've run into in group building?

Adequate control seems to be a real issue with our groups....Even the worst healer I've found has kept me provided with adequate heals to pull through. And there's no shortage on DPS. I'm an adequate tank, I managed to pull Doomsday off the JLA and our runner (briefly) in Smallville last night. So I don't know how difficult it is to find a decent tank.

Granted, there's probably a better mmo-core group of players on PC then PS3.

The biggest problem I have is finding a good controller. So many people don't realize what they're there for. Which is well conducted crowd control. Which relates to the problem you're having in Smallville. I don't know what it is about keeping mobs stunned, and held, but definitely hard to find a good controller. It's not just a PS3 thing.

We have one controller in our league who has never let our heals dry up and kept me with plenty of power for keeping the mobs pulled on myself.

He should of called his character Duracell.

yea, Khandaq is a bitch without a good controller. Hell, most alerts are really tough without a good controller.

Ran Inner Batcave tonight....finally had a purple tank weapon with all pluses drop....the god Damn Douche bag controller rolled need- as if his ass could use it.

So all three tanks left. Breaking up what would of probably been a successful run, seeing as how we'd already dropped the first boss.

/end rant and frustration.

Did you run a PUG, or a league raid? If it was a league raid, I would have quit on the spot if a controller rolled need on a tank weapon. That or asked for the controller to be kicked. Unless he just rolled need by accident.

It was mostly league, but we had to pug the controller and an extra tank.

Yea, we had to pug a tank at the end of Khandaq for the Black Adam fight. Luckily our league tank out-rolled the pug. I've gotten two drops in Khandaq so far, so I've had pretty good luck with the place so far.
