Ah, I get you. I just thought, when you referred to Star Wars' "huge mythology" and talked about using "future stuff", you were talking about using future events and characters that were already an established part of the mythology, via the EU. I don't think THAT will happen.

But if I had to guess I would say that moving the timeline forward will mostly be the job of the "numbered" movies, and that the movies they put out in off years will largely fill in bits either from the past, or else from the "present" but in areas largely unrelated to the ongoing "saga" of the numbered entries. I think they want to avoid any chance that the folks making the one-off movies will in any way constrain the plotting of the "saga" as it goes forward.

it dosent just have to be numeral films. they could simply do a new jedi generation spinoff that is 50 years from the new trilogy. im not saying they need to use anybody from the eu but i like the idea of new charachters

one thing about episode 3 i wish they tackle more is the unaturalness of the dark side in wich palpitine states to anakin and i really feel they can touch on the whole cheating death thing about plaugise

Rumor: Colin Trevorrow To Direct 'Star Wars: Episode 9'

Hot off his massive success on Jurassic World , super hot director Colin Trevorrow has bagged his next gig.

Today at the Star Wars Comic Con panel, Lucasfilm will bring out Colin Trevorrow onto the stage at Hall H to announce him as the next director of Star Wars: Episode 9!

JJ Abrams directed Episode 7, Rian Johnson got Episode 8, and now Colin Trevorrow got Episode 9. The trilogy is complete.

Hot choice. Jurassic World has grossed a $1.4 billion dollars around the world and still climbing.
