  • So, here I am adding to all the posts while still baffled that an extra 4-5 pages have been added to this thread in the past 36 hours without any real news.

In Star Wars: Battlefied II I loved playing the Ewok or Gungan hunting levels. Those were total fan service missions.

Now, that I can see. You see a robot bounty hunter there and you think "what's his deal? I want to know."

IG-88, along with Fett, WERE the only two characters to get a figure in the 12" Kenner line after the first Star Wars movie.

Granted, those two killed the line and Kenner put their attention into the 3 3/4" line, so maybe it's not such a good thing...

True Story. On the upside: IG-88 in the original 12 inch line is highly sought after as a collectible because he was not produced in great numbers, hence the cancellation.

          • One of my favorite things from the EU is the classification of Jedi types.

Jedi Guardian: Basically the Order's foot soldiers. (Traditionally Blue lightsabers.)

Jedi Sentinel: The order's sneaky or skilled bastards. Basically their mystery solvers (Traditionally yellow sabers.)

Jedi Consular: The Order's high end Force users. Scholars, diplomats... nerds. (Traditionally green sabers.)

              • Sith Marauder and Sith Lord were how I typically rolled in KOTORII. Did Lord my first time through, then focused even more heavily on combat and did Marauder.

And since I was powerful as all hell late-game, I could get away with wearing Dark Padawan Robes (because the Knight/Master Robes were tastelessly cluttered) and Force Crushing any pathetic ants in my path. Goddamn, I was the fucking Dark Lord of the Sith, baby! (Would have been nice to have Force Crush a bit earlier, though, since there isn't much game left when you get it).

But Marauder let me get some fun, a beautiful double-bladed saber with red crystals, and I went out of my way to butcher pretty much anything that I could fight.

I mean, who could say no to a Marauder like this?

                • If I remember my KOTOR II playthrough the Sith classes are:

                  Sith Assassin

                  Sith Maruder

                  and Sith Lord/Inquisitor

                    • Force Storm, baby.

I was lightside, and it cost shitton of force energy, but SHIT GOT DONE.

                      • Remember Force Lightning in Jedi Knight II and Jedi Academy? I used to zap dudes to death and push their bodies around the level, just laughing. I used Force Grip hover them over ledges, and if it was maxed to Choke, levitate their bodies around like a bloodthirsty puppeteer.

And then shit got real when Force Unleashed came out...

                          • "It is my fault, because I emerged from the Rebellion cast as a warrior who had destroyed Death Stars, Darth Vader, and the Emperor himself. Later missions kept that myth alive. Given a choice between calling upon a bounty hunter or a Jedi, folks turned to the Jedi because we worked for free and are concerned about collateral damage." ―Luke Skywalker

I'm a big fan of the 12" original Star Wars figures too. I have 9 out of the 12, minus the Jawa, Boba Fett, and IG-88. I haven't had my Boba since I was a kid and never had the other two. All of these are complete though. Bought the stands a while ago to showcase them better.

Wow, that is freakin sweet. The stands definitely help, don't they? I bought a bunch of generic metal stands from a craft store a few years ago to display my post-1995 12" SW figures. They definitely come in handy.

The Darth Vader I have has been with me since 1979, I believe. I busted his lightsaber long ago, so a few years ago I bought this really cheap 12" Vader whose mold really sucked and just used the saber from that, which fits in the original Vader's hand fine. I also had to do some repair work on the arm joints-I think they were originally designed with an elastic holding them together inside the chest, and over the course of 30 years, it basically went to shit. So I used some really small bungie type cord to hold them back together.
