Obi Wan having a daughter they pull out of their ass not only sounds stupid, it just doesn't ring true for the character, just like Mr Ed just said. Why would he do that after staying true to his ideals his whole life?
A mixed race female sounds more plausible as a grand daughter for Lando. I'd rather he have a son, but at his age a grandchild makes more sense. And they are going to need some female characters in the cast.
I guess my main concern for the casting and how they relate as descendants to the original cast is that the child of Luke is a son. That way the generational tale of the Skywalker clan goes on as a son will carry on his name. I really DON'T want the lead to be a female.
