Only that doesn't really look like Sinestro's ring.

It looks like the original silver age Sinestro ring, when his ring was just a yellow copy of a Green Lantern ring. Never forget, Sinestro LOVED the Corps. He HATED them for drumming him out after they found out he was misusing his power on his home planet. His first yellow ring was an "Oh yeah, I'll show you." kind of statement.

The more modern retconns show the yellow ring with the yellow jewel, or more recently the Sinestro Corps insignia on it, but Sinestro's ORIGINAL ring was a golden Green Lantern ring.

What I'd like to do is find a machine shop that works in aluminum, have them mill out the ring I want, then anodize it in the color I want. That would last forever, and be relatively cheap to make, and you could wear it daily without worrying about breaking it. Tho the Sinestro ring (gold/yellow) would be the easiset to wear in everyday life because no one would think you were a dork or an immature fanboy when they saw it, like they would if they saw one of the other color rings. Only a girl could get away with wearing a differently colored ring (orange, blue, whatever) on a daily basis in our society.

Of course, if you have money to burn, you could always try Carl Lemke. His rings are handmade, handcarved by him, one at a time. Expensive, but heirloom quality.

I know the first ring was a copy with the GL logo, but that one disappeared early in the series for a plain gold ring.

And this topic was all about the Sinestro Corps logo ring. The thread title says Sinestro CORPS ring. And the original post mentions the Arroba silver Sinestro corps ring with the logo in silver against a yellow resin background. followed up with
Do you guys have any idea of what I'm talking about or know where I could get something that's at least similar to what I described? Thanks!
And this image was shown in the third post

Which is not a gold colored Green Lantern ring at all.

                I got that, thanks.

I was just pointing out an alternative. Don't get your fanboy panties in a bunch over it.

Jeez. Can't even try to be helpful nowadays without some forum nazi jumping on you about it.

                Segue: I also found these:

First, let me say thanks for being here and welcome to the forum!

Second, Lime is a stickler at times, but all right once you get to know him. I think the problem is that here recently we have seen a huge influx of new members, many of which think they are "helping" and are just pointing us to where we have already been.

That ring you linked to? Yeah, we have seen it. We have seen the original, Jack bought one. We have seen the silver. We have seen that they actually have hollow backs, which is apparently the only way they can keep the cost down. We have seen 'em all. And that is the problem.

There are, as of right now, no new rings. There is no awesome definitive perfect example of a Sinestro Corps ring. If there was, this is the one place you can be almost guaranteed to find it.

Don't get me wrong, we all appreciate seeing new items or new awesomeness, but sadly most of what has been pointed out over the last few months has been anything but new. Even the Arroba Silver rings that are now "official" are nothing more than the rings they previously made before they got licensed.

DC has utterly dropped the ball, and unfortunately no one has come along and really picked it up, with the exception of a few individuals that either can't be trusted to be reliable, or some rings that are at the very best okay looking.

So please, don't take Lime's remarks personally. I think he is just subject to the same frustrations all of us feel at not being able to get ahold of something awesome that really looks the part.

Anyways, glad to have you aboard, keep posting, and I wish you all the best.

They offer at least one ring that's gold plated, so they might be able to do that for you, at the very least.

Other than that, your only other option right now would be to commission a jeweler to make the ring out of gold for you. Depending on the jeweler, that could get quite costly. At one time about 6-7 years ago, I looked into buying a 10K gold signet ring, and having the Green Lantern Corps logo hand carved into the face of it, which would've made for a good replica of Sinestro's first yellow ring. At that time, the ring itself would've cost about $350, and the jeweler that could do the hand carving wanted to charge me at least $100 for that! And that was BEFORE the US dollar's value plunged into the toilet, so the cost of gold may be a lot higher now.

In the end, I waited, and ended up finding a 14K gold Sinestro ring on eBay for about $350, an item so precious to me that I will NEVER part with it! I might even be wearing it when I'm BURIED!!!

Unfortunately for everyone else that wants one, the jeweler that made them and offered them on eBay stopped selling his GL and Sinestro rings about 4 years ago, for reasons that were never revealed to me.

If by some stroke of extremely good luck, you happen to be a member of a certain message board for people that collect and/or make props, in the near future, a member there should be offering Sinestro Corps rings made out of anodized aluminum!

If you're not a member there, it will be MUCH harder to come by one, because that forum's registration is currently CLOSED, so it's not currently possible to become a member there. Further complicating matters is that fact that I will NOT reveal the name of said forum, because Warner Bros. and/or DC are once again on a kick of issuing Cease & Desist Orders to people that make unlicensed rings, and I'm not about to be the guy that lead the legal dickheads right to the maker of the anodized aluminum rings!
I have the exact same ring you do! Except mine is a solid silver Green Lantern Corps ring. I wonder who made these? It came in a set with a terrible Kyle ring and an AWESOME Alan Scott ring.
