you should be able to just the boiling technique and I use a small allen key (anything metal would work and push it through. Don't use a screwdriver! I over shot last year and sent the damn thing 1/2 into my hand.

Ouch! Thanks for the tip!.. and I know all about safety. After all, I jammed an exacto knife half-way into my finger while working on a custom.
