I've been seeing these the past week or so at Walmart.

    Not bad looking figures.

What's the deal with all the small figures these daze though ... Is every company trying to
compete with Star Wars sizing, or what ???

        I don't know.

The Iron Man 2 figures were kind of jarring the way they went to the smaller size.

All I collect is Star Wars though, so I guess it doesn't matter to me.

i mean i guess it's cool that marvel went that way ... wonder if dc plans to
follow suit though ... that would suck ...

Not to me, I love the small G.I. Joe sized figures. There's a few 6 inch Thor figures that they showed at Toy Fair, so there's that. DC also has their Infinite Heroes line which are that small as well, but their articulation is crap.

I went and checked our Walmart today. They have them there as well. I'm really that much into collecting Thor, so I'll pass on these. They looked OK.

I saw these a week ago and immediantly decided to pass, the body is well made but the faces on all of them are just meh to me. A shame because the caped Thor actualy looks very nice...untill you look at the face, and whats with the lack of helmet..I've only seen one Thor trailer so I could be wrong here but did'nt he have a helmet in a trailer?

I saw them in the Reno Walmart over the weekend. I pushed the buttons on the 12" Thor figure just to hear the Thunderclap and dialogue and played with the Mjolnir, but that was it. I'm not going to buy any of that stuff.

Picked one up last Thursday to go with my other movie Avengers and it's a pretty nice figure but just a tad bit on the short side imo.

Blame Hasbro. In a world where everything was heading to a unified 1/12 scale Hasbro killed Marvel legends and since then almost everything has been in that dumb kiddie scale. They probably don't even realize how much they could make off 6" Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures.

I will admit I bought the hammer to modify, and add to my prop collection.
