Me thinks Don Hall, aka the original Dove, should somehow could back to life as a red lantern while his brother Hank should come back as a blue lantern. It'd make for an interesting read while their power points have to coexist with the rings. Lemme summarize this for the newcomers.

Dove was empowered by a lord of order.
Hawk was empowered by a lord of chaos.

Dove's uniform colors are blue and white.
Hawk's uniform colors are red and white.

Red lantern's rings are red, and fill the user with rage.
Blue lantern's rings are blue, and help the user with hope.

you just said that don should be a red lantern , but dons costume is blue and hank a blue lantern but his costume is red, then you talked about the color of their costumes to match the suited rings.

which way is it it makes no sense

I think he's talking about changing the character dynamic, reversing the colors and attitudes pretty much. I'm still pondering the question myself.

I dunno I don't see Dove getting angry about well, anything and I'm not sure Hawk would be able to inspire much hope or have much hope because isn't he Extant in the future?

Speaking of Hawk & Dove, I've recently collected pretty much every appearance of them... ever. Pretty compelling stuff. Fun.

Giving them rings would work (and I'd like to see the new costumes!), although I don't know if they'd benefit from tacking a whole other mythos on top of their already rich one.

if ya really wanted to switch them around, Id think making Hawk an *Indigo Lantern* (compassion) would be a better tweak than a Blue Lantern (hope)...........

I think seeing Hawk and Dove as a Blue and Red Lantern would be pretty cool. I hope Don does return in some capacity though I liked him.
