Abin is most famous for crashing and burning. If you believe that Hal is the greatest living Green Lantern (I don't, but I know lots of folks do, and the argument they make is sound), and Hal became a GL because Abin Sur died exactly when and how he did, logic dictates that the greatest thing Abin Sur ever did was die. I love him, but I can't stop making fun of him for that. Poor Abin.

Kilowog is the most likeable, for me. I don't think he would want the title of "The Greatest", though. He seems to prefer a strong supporting role doing exactly what he's doing.

Arisia has a lot of potential, but she hasn't reached that point yet. Katma could also have been something great, had she lived longer. She was smart and sensible, and well-respected within the Corps, too.

Tomar Re has a great reputation within the Corps, so I suspect that if you asked actual Green Lanterns, his name would come up a lot.

I know techinically he's an alien, but I really dont consider beings who look exactly like us to be aliens, so I cast out Sodam and Arisia. In my opinion, Kilowog, followed by Green man, before he was turned into an Alpha
