I'm a Green Lantern fan, like you all. But, unlike many of you, I am female. Being female, I have pretty much two things on my mind constantly.
1.) Cleaning
2.) Romance
Since I don't think starting a thread about Green Lanterns and their cleaning habits would be a big hit with the kids, I've decided to start the all-purpose shipping thread. You know, to prevent other ones from being made. Usually, it's only the Kyle Rayner section that is plagued with these threads and these debates, but who knows? I might be saving a "Katma vs Fatality" thread or "SHOULD GUY GET NEW LOVE INTERESTS?" thread or even a "Cowgirl vs Carol" thread from occurring in the near future! And think of all of the Jade vs. Natu debates I am stopping from appearing over and over again!
So, this is the all-purpose Green Lantern shipping thread. You cannot talk about ANY PAIRINGS if it does not involve a Green Lantern somehow . Or someone of one of the lantern corps, I guess -- so Atroticus and Mera is allowed.
More rules: No name calling, unless it's Naysay because he's the only one who can do it right. NO OTP STIGMATA. You are not bleeding from the wrists while Ave Maria plays just because someone disagrees with a fictional pairing you like.
I'll start:
The best Hal pairing is with Arisia. Carol is better than Cowgirl, but Cowgirl is a better lay. Do you think Hal will ever date a gal that isn't a civilian made specifically for him, or a lantern?
Guy and Tora, as cute as they were, need a lot of good writing for me to be convinced that they're going to work out in their current condition. Maybe after the Blackest Night encounter, they are stronger. Or maybe they now have more doubts. Either way, R'amey should be back. Oh, and Guy had more chemistry with Soranik than Kyle did.
John needs a new love interest. Katma was great, and while Fatality is interesting and should stay in the mythos, she's not a good match for John. Why does he always have to have alien love interests? Why can't he get a fellow heroine? Lame.
Kyle will never get back to the real winner of his penis/heart, Donna Troy. And he'll reject rekindling anything interesting with Jade again in favor of farting out rainbows with Soranik Natu and playing jumprope with their tethered hearts. Alex was the best girlfriend, Donna and Jade are both awesome matches for him, and now they are going to be roommates in San Fransisco (this is canon!) and please each other more than he could ever please them.
Natu was better with Iolande or Guy.
Iolande could be with Vath, if Vath isn't in to dinosaurs. That is assuming certain dinosaurs are into legless. No, not legolas, but legless.
Hal and Power Girl. Did they still do it in continuity? We need awkward interaction between them either way. Hal should be with Donna and/or Jade.
Kyle and Terry Berg are super kawaii together.
