  • DC Steampunk series?

Was there some sort of DC Comics Steampunk type series? I've seen people mod figures to these characters, and seen mention to them, but not sure what the series was called or what to look up exactly.

Is it out in soft cover in amazon or B&N or Chapters?
For what shall it profit a man if he should gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

well ... there was the Steampunk series around 2000 but that was under the Wildstorm label. It was a weird but great (to my liking) series that featured probably the weirdest Chris Bachalo artwork (some really weird panels there of no decypherable reason ) and Joe Kelly's writing. I enjoyed it while it lasted.

i have no idea if you had that in mind.

edit: after re-reading your post i think you meant something else. Maybe something like and elseworlds version of known DC characters? I have no clue about that .....

yeah, better clarify that. It is in thought of Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, etc.

I've come across mods, and what appear to be real figures. Just wondering if there was an elseworlds series on it, or what?

I'm curious to pick it up if there is.

Never a comic series, just some awesome figures.

that's the exact picture I was just looking at 30min ago. But there's no series? damn. I thought it would be awesome to pick up if there were. *sigh* oh well.
Kinda had me pumped there for a sec.

oh well.... I'll go and be a little sad for a while now.

Wasn't there also some Marvel comics one too? Something called 1802, or 1908, or something.

I think it's because I re-watched and re-read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and when I found these I got all excited.

No, but back in 2000 DC released a Green Lantern story that took place during the New York gang riots of the 1860's.

Actually Lime this thread is your fault really. I saw those when you posted them in the Star Wars thread and that got me looking into the whole notion.

To be honest I would love to get my hands on that green GL one
