  • Jonah Hex & All Star Western

He doesn't actually come out and say it, but but could this title be in danger?

And for all those people worrying that the book will be cancelled, keep worrying. Every single sale matters at this point.

Uh-oh; can't the smaller titles get any kind of break?

The only thing that can save this book, is the movie. And I actually wouldn't cry if this book got the axe, its been on the downhill for the last three or so months, imo.

This book is one of the best on the shelves IMO, I don't see why more people don't give it a look.

NO! Jonah Hex can't get cancelled!

Jonah Hex is one of the most consistently great titles out there. It's well-written, well-drawn, and - now take notes, Green Lantern and Final Crisis - is always out, like clockwork, first week of every month. DC dropping this would be a big loss indeed, as they would be losing one of their best titles.

It seems like I read somewhere that Hex's monthly numbers were around 12K. I know it does better in trades, I would think trade sales would save it.

Could I get a Mod to make the title of this thread "Jonah Hex News"? That way I'll just use my old thread as a Hex thread. Thanks.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm looking forward to the six issue arc that's upcoming starting in June. Great interview with JG and JP on CBR. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...ticle&id=20354

Since there isn't a Jonah Hex movie thread...I'll just post this here...

Will Arnett and Oscar nominee Michael Shannon are boarding "Jonah Hex," Warner Bros. and Legendary's action Western based on the DC Comics character.

Jimmy Hayward is directing "Hex," whose cast also includes Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Megan Fox. It's the story of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malk¬ovich) who wants to raise an army of the undead to liberate the South.

Arnett will play a Union soldier who enlists Hex and is blindsided by the dirty fighting style of his enemies. The role is not inherently comic.

Shannon plays Doc Cross Williams, the bizarre ringleader of a brutal gladiator circus event. The character might appear in sequels.

Legendary is co-producing and co-financing the pic, which is due to start production this month in Louisiana.

Arnett, repped by Endeavor and Principato Young Entertainment, voices the Missing Link in DreamWorks Animation's hit "Monsters vs. Aliens" and will appear in "When In Rome" with Kristen Bell and the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced "G-Force," both from Disney. He is one of the voices in Fox's "Sit Down, Shut Up" animated series and is working on a 2010 pilot for Fox.
