I do. I liked the Chase version back in the day, and for some reason I always gave a chance to the versions that followed him. They always suck so you'd think I would learn by now.
I was reading the premise for the new miniseries. Failed basketball player? Could that BE any more cliché?

Yeeeeah. Kills me people complained about Superman's look or [insert DC character]'s look. These poor bastards have had it the worst since the New52. The updated suit Strange got before the New52 was superior in every single way and still kept classic elements. Hawkman's new look is also too busy and relies too much on the golden Nth metal armor. And that helmet looks awful.
Supergirl got new duds, so did Superdad and Batman, and Wonder Woman... why the **** couldn't they fix a few more heroes like these two?

The Adam Strange design DC did up until Flashpoint was a PERFECT example of an update that worked! Like you said, it kept the classic elements and LOOKED like Adam Strange, while modernizing him with the times. They should go back to that one.
I feel like when I found this image of the two characters at their last high point, they were wondering the same thing about DC editorial as I currently am...
I read them from beginning to end. Pretty uninspiring. I'm interested in the new Doom Patrol title, but wary it will be secondrate Morrison, which was Rachael Pollack's downfall.
The Deadman mini series? Maybe. That kind of has the stink of suck on it, but Vaughn is writing it and can be very good.
Vigilante pulls at my nostalgia, but I'm all but positive that will be terrible.
