Are they calling female Thor in the comics FemThor? Are they calling the new Cap Black Captain America in the comics? Are they calling Nova Kid Nova in the comics? Why would this Spider-man be any different? And I am somewhat out of the loop but I don't recall anyone else in the 616 being called Spider-man currently.


Also I couldn't care less about your black "friends". They need a better white friend honestly.

I didn't know Waid was writing the series, but Hypo's right: Waid on writing duties gets me at least through the first arc.

1) i call her She-Thor, i call him *IN EDIT* America (i also call the new Fury *IN EDIT* Fury), and i call him Kid Nova but that's just me if you must know

I mean, I know this is coming from 1 of our resident "geniuses" and all, but given the coulr of his suit I could work with it (and we do have a Scarlet Spider working a similar costume motif, so theres precedent atleast for the naming convention.)

What makes you think they have to change it? If DC could have 3600 beings called Green Lantern or three people called Flash, all running around (no pun intended) at the same time why can't Marvel have two people called Spider-man.
