I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

After seeing the teaser trailer, I'm turned my opinion of "doom and gloom" of the film to slightly optimistic. You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!

MILES TELLER Implies 'Traditional Costumes' Will Appear in FANTASTIC FOUR
"These are the beta versions of the costumes, which is great [...] But, yeah it would be very odd if the Fantastic Four didn't don the traditional costumes. You've got to. There is some servicing there. You've got to give that to the fans. That's what it's all about," said Teller.

That's another positive sign for the Fantastic Four film. Knowing that they're not going too far away from the source material. You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!

kinda funny hearing that now, considering IIRC that most of wat we'd heard up to this point was that this WOULD be a decent departure from the source material; I guess the film makers didnt get the positive buzz they wanted when the that trailer got released........ :/
Tazer
Yeah, they'd turned their back on just about every old school trait of the Fantastic Four or so they said.

Well, I never read the Ultimate F4, but from what I read, the trailer is pretty close to the Ultimate version of F4 in that Reed was experimenting with teleportation, Johnny is growing up around his father's think tank and Latveria exist and probably well connected to Doom. Plus they look like they have the same power set as their comic book counter parts.

yea, Im still on the fence a bit here since it doesnt look bad at all, but also doesnt feel like the FF (or rather, U-FF if U will.)

so, that means we'll get a family-ostracized Reed, and their powers are now nature-based, plus "big bro" Johnny for "wild child"/"acting out" Sue, and Blogger-Doom (who SHOULDNT have a powered suit this time either)?

Sup.
I don't know if the comments re Ultimate Fantastic Four are a good thing or a bad thing since I didn't read the series. To be honest, I really didn't read the 616 comic book series either. The only time I read them in the comics was when they would be part of a cross over event. My first exposure to the team was the 1978 cartoon series with HERBIE.
This movie looks much better than the F3 with HERBIE.You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!
