"One of the things that bothered me about the reboot and about the Justice Society being young again was that there were some characters that would no longer exist. One of those characters is Obsidian, Alan Scott's gay son. So from then on I started to think about it and it seemed like a logical leap to make Alan Scott gay."
... really? This is the reason for turning a straight guy gay? Cause his gay son is missing and you couldn't use him?
Team Cyclops !!! ...Screw Wolverine.

Honestly I'm still trying to decide myself....I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

Originally posted by JohnnyV View PostTrue, but bad storytelling en lieu of trying to make progressive decisions just offends me. Be gay, but don't tell us a shoddy story on the way. Of course, these are just preview pages, but in two pages it made me roll my eyes instead of be excited about it.
I'm not sure, though, what the non-awkward way to show a previously straight character as suddenly being gay would be. He may have just been wanting to get that transition out of the way in as unambiguous a way as possible (leading to ham-fisted dialogue) before the, quite likely I think, event of Alan's romantic interest being killed in a train crash.
(On an unrelated note, have you checked your PMs lately? )

As for the draft, I shall remain truly objective, but it's hard not to vote for Jeff Bridges as Green Arrow.

Robinson and DC did this for one reason and one reason only. To draw in female yaoi fans. If you don't know what that is there is this magical thing called GOOGLE, ask it a question and you get a answer. I'm not explaining it here.
But given the amount of female generated yaoi fan-fic and art in the US, I can see DC honestly trying to draw that crowd in. And the Dialogue on those preview pages prove it. It reads just like every yaoi i have ever seen.
