- Deadman is in Gotham with Dove trying to find Batman
- Deadman interrupts a heist by Mr. Freeze and goons
- Batman stops Freeze from, well, freezing Brand
- Brand and Batman speak about recent events
- Brand orders the ring to Batman. While on Batman's hand, the Entity speaks to Brand through Batman and informs him he has viewed his return as a chore (finding the chosen one)
- Goon shoots Brand
- Brand then gets a walk through of his life, how he was a bastard pretty much
- Brand kisses Dove
- No other characters featured

I really enjoyed the issue.

It sounds bad, but it is a character developing piece for Brand, and it worked.

Was it? Are you a long time fan of Boston Brand? Because I have a feeling that he wasn't a total dick in any issue that was every release before this. And I have a feeling that its kinda silly to say Boston has only ever cared for himself since he's most of his time as a character saving people.

But those are just feelings...

I think Blackest Night gave Brand a new outlook, much like if it had been a Crisis. It makes me care about the character a little more and he is settling into a new role.

The main Blackest Night title was collected in one volume(issues #1-8)

The Sinestro Corps War was spread out, I'm not sure if the hardcover collected them out so someone else would have to tell you that.

I really enjoyed this issue! Loved the WL batman parts and was wondering when we'd finally get the Generation Lost tie-in. Boston's back story does seem changed a bit, but everyones has been in Brightest Day- It's basically Geoff Johns doing a Deadman/Firestorm/Hawkman/Hawkgirl/Martian Manhunter/Aquaman Secret Origin & Rebirth all in one. If you dont like that idea, probably not going to like BD.

And about F-ing time with Boston & Dawn!

5/5 for me, the art was incredible, Ivan Reis is the best artist at DC imho

Yeah, and it gives readers a chance to connect with or reconnect with a character that hasnt been given a lot of page time recently. It worked with GL for me, read rebirth and he's now my favorite character.

And thanks to Brightest Day, i will never let someone talk ill of aquaman in my presence again, he's an oceanic bamf!
