He didn't actually rape her but what he did was in some way a hundred times worse


I think Dr Lights re-vamp in Identity Crisis was largely inspired by what the Purple Man did to Jessica Jones's, even the re-vamped Light is tame compared to Purple Man

Geez... and now that I'm thinking of it in the Blackest Night Catwoman tie in they mentioned some story where Black Mask kidnapped Catwomans sister and her husband and tortured them.

Didn't he carve out her husbands eyeballs and then make her eat them?


Can we think of anything like this that a male character has ever been put through? The only thing that leaps to mind is what the Joker did to Batman in "The Nail".... but even that was actually to a woman and a "child"....

One of my complaints about Superman Returns is that the movie makers seemed to take an almost pornographic glee in having Lois get tossed around and smacked in the face. Whether it was on the plane or on Lex's yacht... she was on the receiving end of a lot of, what I thought was, gratuitous violence.

I think Carol Danvers had it worse I think: she got kidnappd by by an other-dimensional entity & held over a VERY LONG period of time in order to be impregnated so that she could give birth to *it*, and then while she played breeding cow she ended up falling in love with her rapist.........who had now become her son.

Id say Emp Joker having Bats torn apart nite after nite, only to never die BUT constantly regenerating, and done so often that when the torture was ended he had no grasp of anything else trumps that.

then theres Logan having been held captive for an undefined length of time by L.Deathstryke & the Reavers and used as a torture toy with the knowledge that he'd regenerate everything done to'im.

and oh yea, theres Elvis-Quasar's death at the hands of Phobius by getting hit with a special whip atleast 39x, and that was after he'd had his hands & part of his forearms cut off by Maelstrom to bleed to death.
