IMO, Green Lantern: The Animated Series had the perfect Hal Jordan. A flawed individual that doesn't always make the right calls, but will never back down from a fight and never give up and. He'll go against his orders and do whatever it takes to save the day.

Yeah, I do agree. They managed to show the best Hal Jordan while including his flaws. He might not have always been right, but he always made up for it to win in the end, no matter what.
