someone here had the idea that the 1st Lantern was Kyle, that some how after he becomes the "Super" Lantern he goes back in time for some reason and gets captured by the GoftheU

That would be me. (Well maybe somebody else came up with it, too, independently. I dunno.)

I don't think I ever really believed it would be the case, but it was kind of a fun speculation, based on the fact that the First Lantern seemed to combine all the colors, and that they seemed very coy about showing us what he looked like, which often indicates that it is someone we would recognize.

It has been soundly disproved at this point (even before the revelation of the First Lantern's name, IMHO, due to the seemingly sadistic nature of the First Lantern).
