  • I Think I Figured Out Who Indigo-1 Is...

So the other day I was re-reading the first 20 issues of GL volume 4 and I think I stumbled onto who exactly Indigo-1 is.

In Green Lantern #17, page 6 there are a couple of panels that show Abin Sur's Wife and she looks very similar to Indigo-1 (you can check it out for yourself if you have this issue). Now it hit me that Geoff has already introduced Abin, Amon and Arin into BN, but Abin's wife has been really ignored and not talked about aside from these few panels in GL overall. It would explain somethings like why Indigo-1 seems to know so much about The Blackest Night and why Abin recognized her.

Maybe i'm reaching but could Indigo-1 be the wife of Abin Sur who has spent her time since his death preparing for BN all of these years after learning about it from her husband?. I don't know but i'm really curious now to see if i'm onto something, so what do you guys think i'm I reaching or what?.

    Abin's Wife...

Plus wouldn't Sinestro have said something? Surely HE would recognize Abin's wife, too?

And wasn't he about to blast her when Indigo first showed up in front of him?

                  Indigo-1 can't be Arin.

In recent GL issues, Arin has appeared as a Black Lantern alongside her husband, with Indigo being present, when they arrive.
and in the latest one, Arin recognizes Indigo, even saying her name.

Arin is Sinestro's Wife and Abin's sister.

They're referring to a wife of Abin.

                      Oh, sorry got confused.
Well then, I guess Indigo is a possiblity for Abin's wife.
That would explain the braided hair, that Indigo and Arin share.

And it's possible that not even Sinestro may be aware of who Abin's wife is or at least Amon's biological mother.

that is a possibility, since we don't know for sure if Sinestro ever knew Amon or his mom. plus, in the old accusations, Amon does blame his father that he was off-planet for several years at a time, he might not have introduced this side of his family to Sinestro. maybe Sin and Arin didn't meet on Ungara, but on Korugar or something. i do recall something like that, but i might be mistaken.

                          That makes sense.

I guess we won't know more until Amon catches up to Hal, Carol, Sinestro, and his possible mother.
