I noticed that basically, all the books envolved in BN are going to have expensive variants. I am wondering who here is going to try to get them all. Dave?

Sigh, 1/250 variants are going to be a bitch. And the fact the EVERY mini series is going to have two covers. I have to buy them all on Ebay, because my local shop rarely orders 25 copies of anything. They did with BN #1, so I got the regular variant, but that doesn't help me with the sketch variants.

My shop had loads of the standard covers and therefore quite a few variants. They were charging $20...I thought about getting the Gibbons 'Tales' cover, because his art remains amazing, but my entire stash for the week wasn't even $20, so I'd rather save.Comment

Holy shit on a stick! Got the regulars, cheaper variants (for $15 and $17 for BN 1 and TotC #1) and the sketch for BN 1 was $125.00!

I plan on getting all the BN, Tales, GL and GLC variants, but that's it unless one of the tie-ins is badass.....my LCS charges $15 a pop (W/15% discount), no way in hell I'd pay $100+ for those 1/250 thoIn the chair all day, under fluorescent light

i am going to try to get the sketch ones through ebay and deals. the others are as good as mine since twice over i will hit up two of my local shops. I plan on cgc-ing one set of regular covers and variants and keeping the others as reading materials.Comment

I just ordered the Variants for TOC and BN #1....mostly cause i love the art....and that's how i usually decide to get any variants....but i have to ask, are they good investments or just for the FAN of it? Especially the sketch variants, are they worth it? And does signings or CGCs affect that value?Comment

There is no real value. Don't buy it if you plan on making money off it later on. Just get what you WANT to have because you like it!Comment
