  • Green Lantern #40 *spoilers*

Written by Geoff Johns; Art and cover by Philip Tan and Jonathan Glapion; Variant cover by Rodolfo Migliari

"Agent Orange" part 2! The prelude to "The Blackest Night" continues as the war of light explodes across the Vega System. It's the Green Lantern Corps vs. the bizarre Orange Lantern Corps led by the most disgusting, filthiest, vilest being in the universe. But now that Agent Orange has been disturbed, what does that mean to the rest of the universe? Plus, John Stewart battles alongside his newest ally...Fatality?
DC Universe 32pg. Color $2.99 US
    On Sale April 29, 2009
Philip is meant for the Agent Orange arc.
    Meant for it.

    EDIT:
Might as well put this here, for those who don't wish to skim through the posts for it.

I'm liking that new cover. Though I'm also a fan of the John Stewart/Fatality cover, seeing that it's comparitively rare to get a cover with John as the focal point these days.

My God...it's actually coming out on time! I was convinced that they were going to push this back a week or two.

Wow! Looks like Larfleeze is channeling Johnny Storm with thaw southpaw. And it seems John Stewart is coming in, and coming in hot for a landing!

I noticed this in the first issue too. What's up with Larfleeze's whole fire stuff around him thing?

That's something I've noticed with all the "negative" colors of the Emotional Spectrum. It's like the there is fire burning on them. I noticed this effect seemed very pronounced on Sinestro during Green Lantern: Rebirth. The "positive" sometimes have this effect, but it's not as pronounced.

I lean more towards the OLC theme cover.

I really like Larfleeze. His appearance is just cool. However, I'm loving the color pencil-look on that John/Fatality cover. Hmm, might have to get both!

I think in the case of the OLC, that fire is the Corps.
