So it looks like the Guardians ARE trying to get the ring off. There better end up being a doozy of a reason why they fail. Unless they are just putting on a show, and just want a way to let him keep it without seeming responsible for it.

Interesting, though I still maintain that this is not exactly providing GL with the "zero prior knowledge" jumping on point that the DCnU purports to be all about, unless the new series starts out bogged down with explanatory flashbacks...

Something tells me this will end up being the work of lazy writing (hope I'm wrong). I don't think Bednard gonna be able to come up with a convincing reason as to why Sinestro still has the ring, especially after that little spoiler.
