I really enjoyed this book. Bedard continues what has been an entertaining, and great characterization of Cyborg Superman. What an asshole!!

I thought the way they brought Hannu into the mix was done well, and the ending was great/sad.

Sayf's art continued to impress, and I think he has a creepy rendition of Cyborg-Supes that's quite menacing.

My only complaint was having Ganthet cry and feel grief. Eh, I understand that since he's left the Guardians, and joined the Blue he was bound to open up emotionally. Still, it felt like a "Ganthet's a huge pussy" moment.

Pretty much agree with ya. I thought Ganthet's emotional breakdown was a bit forced but at least its out of the way now. That part was easily the worst section of the issue. I'm liking Ardian's art for the most part, but he has a tendency to draw huge limbs at random times, which take me out of the story; as does his facial hair obsession. Still, a well paced and well told story. I'm really glad we didnt see Stel's people rally so easily. I was not looking forward to that, and while I still think it'll happen next issue, it won't feel as predictable as it would have been in this one.

Sidenote: Who knew John Stewart talked so damn much....lol You make up for lost time sir!

The sad/funny thing was that I was thinking the same thing, I almost fell of my chair that he was actually saying stuff besides point and shoot

All in all enjoyed the story and the art

I also agree that Ganthet flirted a bit too much with being a complete pussy. The guy is immortal, and has not only been alive for billions of years, but for most of that he's been on a council responsible for maintaining order in much of the universe. I'm sure quite a few omeletes have been made during that time. The "ten" years of DCU continuity being the blink of an eye of that time. After ALL this time, he's clutching his chest? Shades of Red Fox man!

Other than Ganthet's vaginal fluid leaking all over the floor, the issue was pretty good. John actually got a few panels, Stel got some much needed love (nice to see a GL put over in his own home town!), and a few Alphas got killed.

Hannu was badass in this issue that was awesome. It's good to see more of him.

You see, I honestly didnt mind Ganthet's emotional outbreak. Yeah sure it was a bit unusual, but to me it showed just how much he cared about the Lantern's he used to council over and his now peers. And in a sense he probably feels at least somewhat responsible for their conversion.

Overall I thought this issue was top notch. Loved every aspect of it.

You guys are cold. Ganthet really hasn't had many up-close encounters with death. He did when all the other Guardians died, but after that? And before? Very much in the ivory tower. Even as a blue Guardian. This is probably the first time he's ever had to deal with a hostage situation. Like, ever. First time he actively tried to save someone with his own two hands. First time in a long time he's probably felt so helpless. I actually felt that was a pretty strong moment.

It did remind me of an early Silver Age story, though.

I really liked the issue. So far GLC is hitting it out of the park!

I think this has been a very good arc. It's nice to have a story that's not driven by the emotional spectrum. My favorite part was of this issue was Hannu showing up, and the absolute contempt and disgust he had for what the Alpha Lanterns represented to him. I almost could see the pain in Hannu even while he pummeled Alpha Boodika because of what had been done to her. It seems the Alphas can be fixed, but they still won't be the same as they were before. Can't wait to find out what happens next.

I like the art, even though Soranik suffers under this guys pencils. She used to be HOT!
