What if the manhunters didn't attack Ryut for no reason what if they were looking for the figure and then the guardians locked up the figure and tried covering it up like everything else they did.

My thought since "Secret Origin" was that Nekron or some manifestation of the Black had caused the malfunction in an attempt to sabotage the Oans and move the pieces into place for their campaign centuries later. Obviously, that didn't happen, but your theory is sound and good. I think you may be right.

think about it. if an Oan knew about BN and knew that it would reveal all of the entities and knew of the sort of power could be harnessed from these entities(the lantern's power did technically come from parallax right?). then imagine harnessing the power of all the entities...

thats only 2 out of 7 though. thus she would need BN to happen to unearth them all(and thats not counting the white and black entities)
