You would think they would, since the Black Rings have to based of Oan tech. But I doubt that Ganthet would want to replicate even more Black rings

If Nekron was formed as an antithesis to the Guardians, perhaps that same opposite energy reflects the forms of the lanterns and rings that make up the light of life.

I'll let you know the one secret thing they all have in common that binds all their rings as the same technology. It's called a Geoffcon. Now you can either use this Geoffcon wisely or poorly but it will always get you out of a sticky situation.

The never failing move! It's the deus ex machina for writers!

I think they wouldn't have the fail safe since I interpreted the fail safe as applying to rings that worked on the emotional spectrum. That in order to harness the emotional spectrum, even without knowing it, all the Corps used the same based process or tech. Since the Black rings don't gain their power the same way, I would be inclined to think they might not have the fail safe.
"My mind is deluged with thoughts of Heaven and Hell,
Crime and Punishment, Damnation and Redemption. Hal
                      Jordan... And The Spectre.

I'm dead, yet I live. I have no identity. Yet I know
who I am. And once again I've been given power enough
to change the world. This time, Lord...
                      Let me be worthy."

Didn't Atom in BN #3 say the Black rings are completely different from Hal's ring?

Yes he did. He said it was bony...dark matter...with wormholes that transported emotions...into a giant battery/container in space...

It sounds kinda bad when you break it down.

Maybe THAT's how they snagged all those heroes who came back from the dead...
