Total Awareness: 87
Definite Interest: 43
First Choice: 8
GL's numbers from this week (6/9):
Total Awareness: 88
Definite Interest: 46
First Choice: 12
For comparison, Thor's #'s 2 weekends out (4/29) were:
Total Awareness: 80
Definite Interest: 48
First Choice: 15
And X-Men's numbers for its week of release (6/2):
Total Awareness: 88
Definite Interest: 48
First Choice: 16
It should, however, be noted that "first choice" is not what your first choice will be among all the movies at the theater when the movie comes out. It is first choice among the movies listed in the tracking poll, which are the movies that are being released in the next 3 weeks. So while X-Men came off the sheet for these numbers, Transformers was added (since its release was moved up to Wednesday), so that's gonna skew those first choice numbers for GL obviously. It seems like a pretty stupid thing to track, if I'm understanding it correctly.
Solid numbers! I have a couple questions I hope you can answer. What are these multipliers everyone on BOM talk about? Has the OW tracking gone up or are they still predicting mid $50M.
In terms of great cinema making, GL can be just for fun and etc. BUT, the Corps flying in the space is all I needed to see (as in the other TV spot). I´m sold. Since I read Rebirth I imagined the possibility to see in the theaters the Corps travelling through space.
I do not need nothing more. Just thanking for the making of this movie !

They're nuts over there, aren't they?
As far as I can discern (without stooping to ASK one of those snobs), a "multiplier" is how much the total BO gross will be as a factor of the opening weekend gross - essentially the film's "legs." So a 3x multiplier means if a movie like Thor opens at $65 mil, it will top out at 3 times the OW (65 x 3 = $195 mil) which seems possible, but unlikely at this point - it's at $170 right now and might be around $175 after the weekend.
It's just one more indulgent bit of numbers porn they're into over there.
There is a guy on IMDb who said he has seen the movie and has shared a tidbit that is going to be awesome. He seems to be a straight shooter and said he isn't a lantern fan and had low hopes for this movie but he ended up liking it a lot.

They're very good but very spoiling. We asked him about the after credit scene and he said he left before, or didn't know there was one, or something like that.
For those of you who don't want to go over to IMDb and check the spoilers Mon19 posted, here is his spoiler free feelings on the movie. I cleaned up some spelling mistakes, everything reads as it should.
I've seen the movie. It's actually pretty good, a little corny but it reminded me a lot of the first Spider Man. I think the main issue with the film, is the lack of a good villain. Other than that is worth the ticket and I'll think it will surprise a lot of people, I had my doubts and it certainly won me over.
Ryan Reynolds is more serious than you'll expect, Blake Lively was a little bland IMO but it's solid entertainment and it will certainly be one of the best movies of the summer.
