Are you satisfied with the Kyle/Carol dynamic in NGs?

Ever since the end of the Light's Out storyline I have found it hard to get on board with the forced relationship/partnership/whatever between Kyle and Carol Ferris. In terms of "New 52" continuity Carol and Kyle only met at the beginning of the Rise of the Third Army storyline; and yet here the new creative team has Carol falling in love with Kyle in what has really been a matter of weeks. I also can't stand their dialogue with one another, John and Fatality are a much better executed example of how this type of relationship can be explored. But I'd like to see how you all feel and find out if I am in the minority here.

It's just really pointless all it's going to do is eventually cause a fight between Hal and Kyle and we are so beyond that. Carol is just going to get back together with Hal anyway on again off again is how their entire relationship has worked.

I've never really had strong feelings towards her one way or another. I think she's one of the least explored major female characters. Which is probably why I care so little about her.

The writers of the GL would have to be pretty ballsy to kill of a character who hasn't been killed off in her entire 54 years of appearances.

But ballsy isn't what I would call the Kyle / Carol as. More like lame.
