  • Is Kyle Rayner the most powerful both political and literal force in the DC Universe?

Hes practically commander Shepard from Mass Effect, has all leaders of the Corps on his side (minus Sinestro) plus he has real power. A seven corps man.

The Spectre can do pretty much anything he likes and Black Adam beat up death.

Every powered super hero gets to do the tried and true "omnipotent story". You really aren't part of the club if you haven't flirted with godlike powers at least once in your publishing history. Kyle got to do that same story three or four times now, which says more about the writers' desperation in finding something interesting to do with him than how kewl he is.

technically the green lantern ring is the most powerful thing in the universe so considering all 4 earth lanterns have them it would depend on what you look at: for pure imagination kyle cant be beat, guy's stubborness raises his will to incredible levels, hal has had experiance dealing with every aspect of the ring and john has the architect training which would make his constructs some of the best possible

Someone needs to explain to me how exactly Kyle is a political force.

He is a geopolitical, ergonomic, and transmetropolitan part of the zeitgeist.

Let me put it this way, compared to commander Shepard at the end of Mass Effect 3 (the human with most power in the galaxy) and Kyle Rayner in New Guardians, who has more political and literal power?

Classic Ion is more powerful than The Spectre and Black Adam also beat up The Spectre.

Classic Ion has control over time and reality. Was omnipresent and omnipotent. How is BA more powerful?

But anyway I was talking also about the current most powerful human.

With a question like this you are always going to get the hater that just so happens to hate the subject of the question. With that being said Kyle is indeed my favorite GL. And yes he has had the Ion power several times. And he was the only GL in existence thanks to Hal. But I'm not sure if he is the most powerful. How would you determine who is the most powerful? Every super hero at one time has been like a god/godess. And each one has had a story where they were the sole reason that Earth survived. With that being said one could argue that kyle was weak in a story where he didn't do much and say superman was the one that saved the day. But on the other hand there might be a story where supes gets whooped on and kyle saves the day. Its all based on a matter of opinion therefore there is no real "right" answer just a bunch of different, biased, opinions stating who is better and why.
