When I first started reading I would get my books off the spiner rack in a small town. They would only sell the real popular titles. This was the early ninetieis so there was not a lot of choicie. One faitfull day I talked my grand mother into buying my the three packs they sold in toys r us. It just happened to be GL 50-52. Saw poor Hal lose it and feel in love with Kyle at the same time.

I started liking Kyle in a weird backwards way. I started on GL with One Year Later so Hal was my GL, then I ended up picking up an issue of the Ion series because Hal was on the cover. That lead to me being a bit obsessed with Nero which lead to me buying the New Journey, Old Path trade, and I realised that Kyle himself was totally growing on me. These days I consider myself more a fan of everything GL related than just one GL like I was to start with.

The first GL issue I remember picking up was either the 2nd or 3rd issue with Kyle as the primary Lantern, right after he got his ring. I was always amazed by the whole concept of Green Lantern and a huge fan of Hal, Kyle and John, but the Kyle comics definitely sold it for me and it has been history ever since

While I knew who Green Lantern was ever since I was a kid, I didn't get into the character until Kyle showed up. It was through him that I wanted to learn all about the rest of the Lanterns.
