I like his current look in the comics. The only thing I would change is that I wish he didn't sport that 1991 "shave-Around". I think that it's supposed to be a military "High & Tight" but nobody can really draw that. He should just have a full head of hair like the JLA box set figure from DCD.

I chose the last simply because it is the look I associate with Mosaic, which was my favorite use of the character.

I like his look now, but I wouldn't be opposed to him growing a goatee. Keep the hair though. the shaved head would be too much like JLU.

Since there was no option for the afro with the pink ascot, I voted for the short hair no goatee version. The problem with comics is that it's hard to make characters look different from one another, and the bald thing makes every black male character look exactly the same. I know that SOUNDS like a stereotype, but when we're talking about drawings on a comic page it's absolutely true. At least with the 'fade' thing DC is doing by mimicking the JLU cartoon, John stands out and looks different without looking like a lame attempt at being cool.

But the afro and the ascot WAS pretty top shelf, wasn't it?

Wow. The goatee is taking a beating in the early voting.

Short hair, no goat is fine. For me, it depends more on the artist, but I really like the recent looks by Reis and Van Sciver. J-Stew is looking pretty darned cool...
