Is it time to put Xanshi to rest?

For all we know, in the new continuity John DID actively blow the planet up, instead of just failing to save it. Kind of like Parallax Hal was, after the fact, repeatedly portrayed as having killed the Gaurdians, when really they killed themselves.

Of course, that would beg the question of WHY John might have blown Xanshi up. But I'm not sure I'd want to read the story that explained that. In fact I'm quite sure I wouldn't want to...

No, there was a recent flashback where he comes across the yellow bomb, but not explanation of what he did wrong. He just said something about inexperience.

I pretty much figured that John's burden with having killed Mogo essentially supplanted the Xanshi story in terms of his guilt, so that they didn't even have to address the question of Xanshi. John still has the same burden, just transferred to a different planet.

I'm all into the new season of "Game of Thrones" so is it me, or can we start calling John "Planetslayer?"

I wouldn't mind seeing Kyle in the New Guardians title as the white lantern bring Xanshi back. It would be a nice short little cross over between Corp and NG, and it could finally help John's character get past this.

It could be a great story where once its restored, John has a moment where he finally feels at peace after all this time of harboring guilt over failing to save it.
