Darkstar Years?

When John was a Darkstar did they have their on monthly? If so which issues would have John in them? And what is Cosmic Odessy(sp?)? It was mentioned on another thread and Im not sure I have even heard of it. Thanks for any help.

yes they did I think John shows up after issue 20 or so, IIRC it ran for about 47-50 issues

Cosmic Odyessy was written by Jim Stalin and is where you see John not save Fatality's home planet

Thanks for the info, these are the years that I missed of John's life and I wanted to catch up. Are the Darkstar comics worth getting? How much of John and other GLs do they have? I would love the opinions of anyone who has read them!

John pretty much is one of the main characters in it, and since you can generally find them in quarter boxes I say yes pick them up

I can't wait to get the Darkstars issues of the later half with Donna Troy and John in them. They were decent looking characters in the 90's and I've always thought John looked better in red.

I kinda liked the Darkstars. While I was Playing City Of Heros I ad 2 blaster characters one I had made up very much like a Darkstar in appearance and the other looked like Capt. Atom. (May start playing that agian actually)

I dont thinks so, especially since the Darkstar's dont exist anymore. John has been too built up as a GL to be anything else.

They might actually still exist, under the rule of Lady Styx.

They were seen in 52 I believe, and also in Mystery in Space.

Cosmic Odessey dealt with the Anti-Life equation trying to disessemble the milky way by blowing up key planets in the solar system, if I recall correctly. It's basically a fun-fun silly-willy romp through the cosmos and, in the end, none of it really mattered. Except where Jhon's concerend. One of the possessed people (or something) managed to blow up Xanshi. As I recall, he was an overweight hippie. And it was Jhon's fault because he ringed the Matian Manhunter out of the vicinity because he thought he could handle it.
