Hey Gang,
My name is Ralph and I have been into GL since i was a kid. For some reason when i watched Super Friends i tended to gravitate towards the Hal character. I guess i just wansn't into Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.

The first GL book that i read was "Down to Earth", Green Lantern Vol 3 #1 by Jones and Broderick. I was 13 at the time. I actually had a subscription to that run of Green Lantern. DC would send me the book monthly in a plastic bag. I don't even know if they do that anymore.

Back when Kyle started his run on GL, i got back into the character and have been going strong ever since. I actually have Kyle's original GL emblem tattooed on my right shoulder.

I have enjoyed Geoff Johns' run on GL, but i welcome the reboot. These big event books cannot continue to outdo each other and I could use some time to settle back down. There doesn't have to be a war every month.

I thought the GL movie was okay. Not the best, but as far as them putting GL on the big screen, it wasn't completely offensive.

I am keeping my blue fingers crossed for a part 2.

I too was first awed by GL on Super Friends. I thought he was so much cooler than everyone else and couldn't understand why he wasn't always in it!

Yes, DC still does mail subscriptions and they still come in those cheap plastic bags. I get GL that way. The downside is it usually comes up to a week later than the shops. The upside is it saves me like $15 a year.

I have been a huge fan of green lantern ever since that's why I waited to see it on the big screen. It was not as good as I expected but it was ok. Fan boys have been waiting for many years to see Green Lantern, the emerald warrior of will, on the big screen. Last June 17, their wish was granted. Early returns indicate that while “Green Lantern” may not be “The Dark Knight” pundits are looking for, enthusiasts' interest remains at fever pitch. I found this here: Green Lantern: A light to fans, dim bulb to critics. Enjoy the movie guys, it's not the best but still worth seeing.
