Yeah, if he's not Fighting Communist fools, then it's not James Bond and therefore Not Good. I have an Equation for it and everything.
007+Fighting/guns firing+Communist fools=Awesome
LOL... they were certainly the weakest Bond films, thats for sure... though I think Die Another Day came close to Moore Bond Level Stupidity... Casino Royale was the remedy the franchise needed after that mess... and it was awesome... so I'm excited.
Thats about how I feel... Moore was an alright Bond, but his films were crap. For Your Eyes Only wasn't that bad, and showed what the Moore Bond era could be... but compared to Bonds past and future from that moment... it was pretty much a limp.
The Dalton Bond era was a very mcuh welcomed hardcore remedy to that which was Moore, and then when Brosnan came in with Goldeneye... DAMN! Bond was back to a level he hadn't seen since the early Connery Bond era... but it slowly tanked.
And now we're in the modern Craig era of Bond... and its better than ever.
I just hope they don't drop the ball like they did with Brosnan.
George Lazenby... his movie is actually pretty good, but he was a pretty forgetable Bond... they brought Connery back for one more after his legendary flick (it was legendary becasue he got married in it, even if the marriage only lasted 5 minutes).
So, yeah... On Her Majesty's Secret Service isn't a bad film, itself, but Lazenby never did feel quite right in the role.
I have a serious hankering to watch some old Bond movies now. I've only seen a couple of the Brosnan ones. Want to suggest a few of your favourites Parry?

I am a HUGE Bond affection ado! I love all things Bond. Roger Moore was my favorite Bond, followed by Peirce Bronson and Sean Connery a close third.
I am excited for the new film coming this weekend! Still not super excited with Daniel Craig as Bond, but at least we get a Bond movie. I hope we have our familiar items in this Bond film, namely, the opening gun barrel and James Bond theme. More gadgets, and more humor. I still can't figure out why they still have the same female M in it if this is a Bond begins....
