I've watched the first couple, but I honestly liked one of the last versions that had new cadets and a rotating center lion spot that gave Voltron a different weapon depending on the lion. The red lion gave him a gun, the yellow a ball and chain I think, etc...
The new one does a good job at making them from Earth and then traveling to another planet.
It's funny you guys posted this. I saw that listed again yesterday and thought "I wonder if anyone on the group is watching this and could report back."
I watched the first episode and I'm not in love with it. It's an acquired taste for someone who really loved the originals, as this one was too silly for me. However, I'm only one episode in. I'll watch a few more episodes at some point this summer.
You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!
I watched up until Voltron was formed.....and then (me am freely admitting that this was an *extremely petty thought* I had too) I couldn't help but be irked by the robots' lack of the cross on the front; to me, that was just such an integral look for the machine, I just couldn't enjoy the rest of the show w/o it.
beyond that, I found it fairly interesting; I thought the story revamp to be decent, and I actually liked Lance this time around (while alternately, I now loathed Hunk who had been my fave character on the team originally.)

not surprised really: Pidge this time was waaaaayyyyy more fussy here then any other version of the character Id ever seen portrayed elsewhere (that's including all 3 American versions of the franchise), and well.....there *was* the voice.
I mean, COME AAAAAHHHNNN, that was pretty much a dead giveaway.
