    • DWAYNE JOHNSON'S ROCK: MEET DANY GARCIA, THE WOMAN BEHIND HOLLYWOOD'S HIGHEST EARNER
Garcia also continues to expand her repertoire beyond just the Central Intelligence star; in April, she announced that Garcia Companies had taken on a superhuman new client—Batman v Superman’s Henry Cavill. After positioning Johnson as Hollywood’s highest-paid actor, can she do the same with Cavill?

“Henry has a big appetite,” Garcia says. “We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [Justice League] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world. It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”

        • Even as the Justice League prepare to come together on the big screen, DC Comics’ greatest heroes are heading to tabletops in a board game called “Justice League: Dawn of Heroes.”

Publisher Abba Games announced it has received approval from Warner Bros. for the tabletop combat game in which two to six players split into teams of heroes or villains to fight for the fate of the world.
          Here is the official announcement:

Play your favorite stories from DC Comics universe in this adventure game combat between 2-6 players. The game is divided into missions, each with several chapters. Players will be divided into 2 teams and will face to meet its objectives in each chapter. The winning team will have benefits for the final combat, face-to-face between the two teams to decide the fate of the world!

With many beloved characters from the DC Universe, every mission is strongly inspired by familiar stories from our favorite team of superheroes! Manage Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League to fight Darkseid, Lex Luthor and many other villains with the team of heroes. Or use your many resources to complete your evil plan with the team Thistledown, with the help of Joker, Black Manta, Cheetah and many others.

The characters have their own set of skills that will give them the edge needed to complete their goals. With custom mechanical control characters, thus giving a unique feel to each game hero to better reflect its incredible powers.

Each mission can be played as a campaign, solving each chapter and the final match in one session. But with the ‘saving system’ included in the game, you can play each strand separate and easily save your progress to finish your game another day!

Save the world with Justice League: Dawn of Heroes!

Abba Games will launch a Kickstarter campaign for the game later this year, with plans for initial distribution in 2017 in Europe. Perhaps if the crowdfunding effort is successful enough, “Justice League: Dawn of Heroes” will reach North American shortly thereafter.

          • Time Warner Chief Jeff Bewkes on DC Comics Movies: ‘There’s a Little Room for Improvement’
Time Warner chairman-CEO Jeff Bewkes told investors Wednesday that there is “a little room for improvement” in the creative execution of Warner Bros.’ DC Comics movie slate. But he stressed that the two titles released to date have been financially successful and have achieved the larger strategic goal of reinvigorating classic DC characters for a new generation of moviegoers.

Referencing the lukewarm critical response to this year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad,” Bewkes admitted during his Q&A at Goldman Sachs’ Communacopia investor conference: “The DC Comics characters … have a little more lightness in them than maybe what you saw in those movies, so we’re thinking about that.”

Bewkes said the studio has enlisted DC Comics entertainment president Geoff Johns and production guru Jon Berg to take a firm hand in guiding the upcoming DC releases. But he sees no reversal in Warner Bros.’ ambitious plan for releasing a string of DC-branded tentpoles through 2020, with “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League” to come next year.

“The strategy worked,” Bewkes said. “The execution did deliver what we wanted to do. We can do a little better on the creative. … We’re right on course or better” with the plan, he said, citing “Suicide Squad’s” legs at the box office. To date the pic released in August has grabbed about $720 million at the worldwide box office.

“The main thing was to launch DC and reinvigorate it with the fan base,” he said. “The reboot of Batman with Ben Affleck (in the role) was a big success.” He also noted that the fan reaction to actress Gal Gadot’s debut as the Wonder Woman character in “Batman v Superman” has been positive.

Yeah, well... Warner Bros. and DC probably mandated that a lot of that research be New52 material.

I don't even see The Judas Contract anywhere in there...
