In a flurry of celebration, she and husband Jack paired the taters with a bottle of Dom Perignon—part of the $300 “Grand Cru Slam” breakfast, which comes with pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and (naturally) some crisp hash browns. A bartender confirmed to us that they were the first guests to order the pricey combo.

I know, right? Whatever happened to America's Diner, where the pancakes tasted like America?

Well that, but who just has the kind of money to go spend $300 at Denny's? I wouldn't even suspect a rich person to do that, maybe a psychotic...but damn, NYC must be one magical, strange land.
Yeah, The Grand Slam is about as American as it gets. “Grand Cru Slam” sounds like some french asshole trying to knock it off.

Originally posted by Mister Ed View PostObviously the Dom Perignon is MOST of the price (though who the heck orders pricey champagne with a Denny's breakfast?) but that pricing is still mind boggling. I mean, I know NYC is a pricey place in general, but you can get a bottle of Dom Perignon for under $200 (I checked) here in Oregon. That still leaves $100 for pretty standard Denny's fare, plus whatever surcharges and taxes you get for eating in NYC. That seems a bit extreme to me...
Denny's Grand Slam Breakfast. Guaranteed to flush your system in 3 hours flat.

You caught that "mummified man" nest in the slideshow the host gives, right? I saw that and my skin crawled.
The gigantic nest in the hallway in that house in Spain that had something like a million wasps is still the crowned king, though.Villain Draft 3: Fourth Place Winner
