Writer of romance novels Rosamunde Pilcher passed away this week. While she was a big deal in Germany thanks to a metric ton of tv movies based on her work, I absolutely wasn't her target audience. Nevertheless, even I am impressed by a bibliography of over 110 novels that she wrote in her lifetime, which had combined sales of over 60 million copies.

^Always liked Finney. His Scrooge is a regular holiday watch for my family and I thought he was great as an aged John Newton in Amazing Grace.

Ron Miller, RIP. His importance to Disney has been much underrated. He led the company through the difficult period following the death of Walt's brother Roy O. Disney in 1971.
Miller and Walt's daughter Diane were forced out of the company in 1984 by Roy O.'s son, Roy E. Disney, who brought in Michael Eisner and Frank Wells to run it. Wells was killed in a helicopter crash, and in one of Roy E.'s last major acts with the company, he forced Eisner out in 2005.
This uncaptioned photo show Miller with Roy E.

BTW, Ron and Diane received a big financial settlement when they were forced out, so they were never hurting for money.
