Gonna have to check this out. I don't watch very much noire, and really need to change that.

Gun Crazy is a great B movie noir. Cummins didn't really do any more films in Hollywood after though, she mostly worked in the U.K. Still that one role and film is quite good.

And yes West Side Story is superb, more importantly its editing is simply top notch. An Oscar well-deserved.

Howard Cosell didn't like Jackson and forced him out of Monday Night Football after one season. Cosell's job as a sportscaster was not to know what he was talking about, but to "be controversial." Today Cosell is no longer held in such exaggerated esteem as he once was, but most people think highly of Jackson.

Fans hated Cosell so much that finally they began turning down the sound on the Monday Night Football broadcasts, and watched the screen while they listened to the radio broadcasts of the games. The television advertisers threw a fit when they found out about it, and Cosell was dropped.

That is a shame. I don't like a lot of music from then, but I do like the Cranberries (probably because of the Irish element).
