I'm voting 2, even though I never watched Salvation, because I doubt I ever will.

Don't worry, your not really missing out on much. Salvation feels like more of an attempt to make dazzling action scenes, then an actual decent story.

I did enjoy it, but it just wasn't as good as the first two.

Salvation was a piece of horse shit. Really, Bale was out of place as John Connor and had nothing in comman physicly or mentaly with any past incarnation of him, and the whole story was worthless. I enjoyed the future scenes from the Sarah Connor Chronicles, why couldn't salvation be more like them?

U realize that John Connor was played by 4 actors in nearly every movie, right?

In #2, he was just a kid, he could have grown up to be anything.
In #3, he was a teenager, but near the end of his teens.
In The TV series, he looked almost the same as the one in #3, therefore we have established a look for John Connor.
In #4, Bale comes in and I could have mistaken him for someone else and not Connor.

Maybe the guy who played Bond in the 90s could have pulled him off.

#2 is definitely the most spectacular, but the cool concept and Arnie as the baddy are from #1 so I'm going with that.

Yes. Whenever I get in the mood to watch a Terminator movie, it's the first one that I go to. Arnie playing a villainous T-800 is just fun, plus I liked the response given to the guy wondering about the smell in his room.
