Kyle's being replaced with Hal...which makes absolutely no sense, given how the story was originally written. (Replacing Wally with Barry does work, even though I don't like it; the protocol for "taking out" the Flash would be identical for both of them.) Ugh.

Now...take a wild guess as to why Kyle's been written out.

It makes sense from the point of view that most (if not all) of the animated Green Lantern films featured Hal Jordan. IIRC, it was Hal in the recent Justice League film, Crisis on Two Earths.

I'm looking forward to Justice League: Doom. However, the animation doesn't seem to all that great.

Gotta love Batman for laying for foundation for this story to take place.

It's going to require significant rewrites, though. And the other three Earth GLs have made plenty of appearances in DC animated media; Kyle's routinely gotten the shaft outside of a single episode (which was retconned) and a few cameos.

this is stupid; while theres no reason they cant have Hal in it given the rewrites, the speciic reason why GL was taken out was taylored purely to Kyle, and as such theres no reason he CANT be the GL here.

The reason Kyle isn't in it, is because outside of this board no one knows who the hell he is. It's pretty obvious they want to make the movie as accessible to mainstream audiences as possible, and everyone has Hal fresh in their mind after the live action movie.

Hal has been the focus lately. Plus this isn't an exact adaptation of Tower of Babel.

Guy, John, or Hal could easily replace Kyle into a adaptation of Tower of Babel. You don't think Batman has a plan to stop Hal, Guy, or John?

I'm pretty damn sure that the they wanted to use Hal and wanted Nathon Fillion to voice Hal.

That's what I was referring to when I said "significant rewrites." His plan for Kyle wouldn't work on Hal or John, and possibly not Guy.

They're talking a lot of liberties with Justice League Doom. I still can't believe that they're not gonna try and use Aquaman, what does everyone who works on the DC animated movies, despise him or something. He's pretty much underulitizied as it is.
