Gotta love how they throw a headline on it about "DNA found on meteorites", then the article is quite clear that that is not true AT ALL. All that was found was some of the chemical building blocks that are also found in DNA. A far cry from "DNA found on meteorites". Interesting, but not necessarily all that significant.

I mean, if the idea is supposed to be that these meteorites came down with components of DNA, and that that led to life arising...well I can see some serious problems with that idea, mainly that we are talking miniscule amounts of these compounds, and (so far, at least) no meteorites actually containing ALL the necessary components.

These things are just chemicals, they aren't self-replicating, they don't grow and spread across the world. If tiny amounts of them fall to Earth in meteors, that's what you end up with, TINY AMOUNTS. Spread out as widely as the meteor strikes. The Earth is a BIG place. Even with a LOT of meteor strikes (which the Earth HAS had over time), and even if one assumes that these things were present in ALL meteors (which I don't think anybody is saying) this stuff would still be spread pretty thin, I would think.

how do any of us know nasa isnt slowly leaking the truth out when they knew about alien life for a long time?

1. maybe these aliens helped jumpstart humanity and were labeled as gods.


2. maybe there not interested in us


3. maybe they are monitoring us till we reach a certain point to where they feel comfortable revealing themsleves.

I'm with you on that one. If aliens were Hostile, we probably would have been attacked already. Some aliens might be hostile, but that is to be expected. And some Alien races would be friendly. I swear when WE DO make first contact, there will be a war, and I know why. And anyone who doesn't believe in aliens/doesn't believe there is something out there, I'm sorry, but they're Complete Fucking Idiots.
