  • 30 day comic book challenge

At the risk of kazzar starting a gazillion other challenges again, I thought it would be fun to continue with another medium that we all love. Comic books.

Day 6 - The first comic book you remember reading.

Day 15 - Your favorite cover.
    Day 16 - A comic book you don't like.
Day 17 - A comic book writer you don't like.
Day 18 - A comic book artist you don't like.
    Day 19 - A character you don't like.
Day 20 - Most overrated comic book.
Day 21 - Most underrated comic book.
Day 22 - A comic book you wish was adapted into a movie.
Day 23 - Your favorite supporting character.
Day 24 - Your favorite Original Graphic Novel.
Day 25 - A comic book that is liked by nobody but you.
Day 26 - A comic book writer that passed away too soon.
Day 27 - A comic book artist that passed away too soon.
Day 28 - An ongoing series you wish was still being published.
Day 29 - Your least favorite ongoing series being published right now.

If I could find another challenge to do, I would. And I will do this one, AND finish the others at some point

Novels? Board games? Musicals? There are still a lot of possible challenges. Just don't overdo it like you did last time.

This challenge will be tough, as 50% will probably be related to GL

I don't know the backstory. Are you just asking for the info or is this a challenge to read all of those on that day? If the latter, I know I don't have access to some or even an opinion on others.

No, no, no. You don't have to read anything that day. Just name your favorite whatever it is that day. On day one, it's "your favorite comic book series", and mine is Transmet. If this challenge inspires you to read, that's great. But it doesn't put a 24 hour timer on anything.

The challenge is to answer one question a day.

Although a 'posting window of opportunity' might be an idea.
To make things easier and less cluttered I suggest that everyone keeps to the same calendar:
              1st May = day 1
              2nd May = day 2
              3rd May = day 3
              ...
and so on. It might still clutter around midnight with some posters being one side or the other but for the majority of posts it'll flow. What do you think Michael?

Anyway, Day 1: Favourite series of all time.

Start with an easy one, why don't you

It has to be Drew Hayes', sadly unfinished, Poison Elves.

(although runners up would be Gaiman's Sandman, Grell's Green Arrow and Huston and Finch's run on Moon Knight (and only Huston and Finch's it tanked again after that))
              Minimum space distance:
              a|<- ≥2mm ->|lot
              ----------------------------------------------------------

Okay. I'm going to be gone from the 21 on and I hear there's little to no internet service in Yellowstone, but I'll give it a go.

Sorry if it's obvious (guess who I'm posting Tuesday )

Yes, it is GL. My favorite used to be Spiderman

Yeah, that's what I had in mind. I just meant that Space Cop has more than 24 hours to read Transmet, or Poison Elves, or Green Lantern.

                      Or to re-read Watchmen.
                      Thanks for the reprieve.

Technically I guess GL is my favorite too, but which series? 2, I guess. It's varied though, whereas with Watchmen, being a miniseries, was consistently good.

Now you'd never call Erwin a "Wussy"
Nor label his working day "cushy"
But you might have to question
                            His endless obsession
                            With superpositional pussy.
