It's not over reacting.

It's about recognizing that Sesame Street is for children. Katy Perry markets herself almost exclusively with her sexuality. That outfit plays off of that.

I have no problem with this. I also had no problem with people who thought Snoop wasn't an appropriate guest on an episode ten years ago or whenever that controversy sprung up.
