just announced for reelase next fall and will include new deleted scenes from the original trilogy that have never been seen before
one was actually shown of luke finishing up making his lightsaber at the beginning of return of the jedi

lol Lucas makes money at just about every movie you see with CGI special effects. If you ever go to a movie, and the "visual effects" was provided by Industrial Light & Magic then you just helped to support George Lucas.

And I can't wait for these blu-rays if they come packaged with some deleted scenes, and cool commentary.

i a huge star wars fan, even though i own them all on dvd i will be getting them on blu ray, i wouldnt be surprised if they changed stuff yet again in the original trilogy, or even the prequel trilogy for that matter, a few tweeks i woulndt mind would be for them to fix some light saber inconsistencies caused by the dvd edition restorations

pinkish light saber that passes through lukes? pass!

there are other minor things they can fix, like in the digital restoration of the original trilogy u can see white boxes around ships in space from the models they used back in the day

if you dont have a blu ray player within the next couple of years you wont be able to buy physical copies of movies

DVD is moving out? When did that happen? Blu Ray might be the high def standard, but DVD isn't going anywhere for a while. I'll wager that by the time DVD is out, Blu Ray won't be the standard anymore. There's already better shit on the horizon, HD-DVD and Blu Ray drug their fight out too long.
