  • What is the EV3NT?

NBC's next big series following LOST.

"The Event" is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancee, Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.
NBC has been pimping the hell out of this show and it seems relatively interesting. So far, the previews have several plots linked to one central storyline. More than anything, I just want to see what direction the writing crew is going with this. The assassination. The Cover-up. The kidnapping. Hopefully, it doesn't end up like Heroes with storylines leading nowhere.

    Thoughts?

Looks good, but we'll be teased the entire season. We won't know what the event is until Christmas or sometime after.

That looks actually looks fantastic. I haven't seen or heard about this, so thanks for posting. I'm getting huge Lost vibes from this. That's a good thing to me since Lost has become one of my all-time favorite shows.

        Lost was on ABC though.

Yeah, I'm a "Lostie" too. All the networks will be trying to fill the "Lost" void. I doubt that any series will be able to do so, because the Island was a major character to "Lost." It's going to be hard to make an inadamiated object a major character on a TV show.

Hey this is on NBC not ABC .

What is the Event?!! Revelation of Clones, Aliens, Alien-clones, time travel, dimensional travel??? Has me interested, I hope they reveal what the event is within the first couple of episodes though.

There's some potential here, and I'll at least check out the first episode. I may have grown to detest Heroes, but I NEED something to fill the void that Lost has left me.

Looks like more crap trying to capitalize on the LOST formula but completely and utterly missing what it was about LOST that made it appealing in the first place.

                    This won't last two seasons.

                    Pass.

After the shitty endings to BSG and Lost, I'm skipping this one.

I keep getting a flashforward vibe from it.

FlashForward was actually quite good. So, of course, they canceled it.
